A must have for current or prospective federal employees!! March 6, 2010 Dwayne Williams (SoCal) Ill keep this short. This is easy to read. It has many examples of what to do and what not to do. It is written by someone who was directly involved in the federal hiring system. The chapters are catagorized very well making it easy to go back and refrence what you need. It explains what the people who look at your resume are looking for and also shows you how to read job announcements so you can tailor your resume to them. This book is the key to move ahead.
Good all around resume book for Feds March 1, 2010 Ryker94 (East Coast USA) I am a current Federal Employee who wanted to get a better insight to the federal resume and hiring process. I think this book does a pretty good job at covering how to write your resume and apply for a federal job. I would recommend this book to others interested in learning how to write a better federal resume and learn about the process. This is a good reference book and it is an easy read.
Federal Resume Guidebook 4th Edition December 5, 2009 Cheryl Grinston I was very satisfied with my purchase and will refer to it often when considering seeking a Civil Service position.
This will help you get a FED GOV job! November 20, 2009 Crystal D. Kaulbars (Iowa) The author is a genius and I used to specialize in writing federal resumes from GS-5 to GS-15 and even SES (see the book for acronyms / levels). I believe she makes a new edition each year to keep up with any changes. It's and excellent guidebook for creating a winning federal resume.
Excellent Resource November 7, 2009 William Jones After working in the private sector had a hard time passing the OPM screeners. This book guided me to successfully apply and get past the OPM screeners. An excellent resource for professionals transitioning into the federal sector.
